Message from the Chairman
Welcome to Newark Hockey Club!
Hockey has a long history in Newark and the club has built up proud traditions of sportsmanship and friendliness that present day teams continue to uphold.
We currently run six league teams competing across the Midlands, with Men's section playing in the Ener-G Midlands Leagues, the Ladies 1st XI have secured promption to the Midlands regional league, and the remaining Ladies teams play in the Nottinghamshire leagues.
I would like to welcome both old and new players to the 2010/11 season. I wish all teams good luck and thank all captains and other members of the committee who have continued in their roles from last year and those who have taken up new positions.
Any player who is new to the game or just moved to the area please come along to our training nights and join a friendly and sociable sports club.
The club runs three ladies and three men's teams on a Saturday and a strong junior section. Ladies train from 7.00pm till 8.30pm and the men train from 8.30pm till 10.00pm, Wednesday evenings at Magnus School. Junior training starts Sunday 12th September 2010.
Here's to a successful and enjoyable season.
