OK...... Have wiped my memory of the more depressing aspects of Saturday's game and, as the 2nd's report says, am ready to move on!

So.. in chronological order I'll go through the more amusing incidents starting with the 2nd teams victory over the 1st's in the punctuality stakes.. 7 - 2 (if only that had been the score after the game!!)! This was followed by the 'Shall we - shan't we' game related to the condition of the pitch (this crops up later too).

Now for the doppelganger story! Not, as you may suppose, the obvious lookalikes, sisters Shanade and Sasha, nor even their resemblance to Holly P (something that's been mentioned before - older members of the club will remember Heidi and her fines!). No! This involves a case of mistaken identity during the warm-up when Wilson Junior interrupted Holly C's routine by grabbing her hand and saying 'Mummy'! Bit of a shock for both!!!

The pre-game Huddle produced a proposal from Arran which leads me to nickname him 'Zebedee'! Those who watched the 'Magic Roundabout' may guess what he said!

The pitch side conditions led to Tricia and I (inadvertantly) attempting to re-enact the ending to the 'Bolero' Ice Dance by Torvil and Dean - but not so gracefully!

Sarah P's street cred may have been enhanced this week by her black eye (sorry Sarah!), but hopefully no injuries incurred this week will stop anyone from playing at the weekend.

Birthdays next week - Camilla J and Sarah O on the 5th March. Enjoy your day.

Remember - Keep Positive, Professional, Calm and Competitive.

Cheers,
Sue
