Newark HC welcomed back the junior section at the weekend as the first training session kicked off in glorious sunshine.
The club also hosted an open day as part of England Hockey's Hockey Fest, an opportunity to welcome new and existing players back to the club for the new season.
A superb effort by parents and family members saw an array of cakes available to buy and were quickly snapped up. The weather was much changed from Saturday and was perfect for a BBQ.
Steve from Mad Dog Sports, also popped down to provide sticks, shoes, gum shields and everything else players needed. And the top prizes in the raffle were Shona McCallin signed merchandise.
A perfect start to the new season. Thank you to all the parents, coaches, committee members and volunteers that came to support.
