Shona McCallin (MBE), Rio Olympics GB hockey gold medal winner, will be joining our end of season awards celebrations on Sunday 29th April.
Shona started her illustrious hockey career at Newark and has always been a generous supporter of the club. She has visited us on several occasions to sign sticks, show off her silky skills, take selfies, get a close up of her gold medal and present awards.
As you can imagine Shona is a very busy person, so we are thrilled she is able to join us and spend time inspiring our young players.
We hope you all can make our celebrations on Sunday 29th April. The plan for the event is:
9.30am-11.00am, awards ceremony in Sports Hall with Shona
11.00am-12.30pm, mini tournaments (in relevant age groups)
12.30pm-1.15pm, BBQ lunch with delicious food from Dovecote

Pulled Pork and Salad £5
Roast Butternut Squash and Spinach Lasagne (V) £4
FOOD NEEDS TO BE PRE-ORDERED AND FOOD TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED FROM THE SIGN-IN DESK THIS SUNDAY MORNING (15th) AND NEXT SUNDAY (22nd).
