Newark Hockey Club expects minimum standards of behaviour and conduct. The club has a code of conduct which all members should follow.
The code of conduct states that all individuals involved in hockey will, at all times:
* Respect the spirit of fair play in hockey, respect umpires, officials, coaches, players and spectators,
* Promote the reputation of the sport and take all possible steps to prevent it from being brought into disrepute,
* Set a positive example for others, particularly young participants and spectators.
Verbal or physical abuse and threatening or intimidating behaviour will not be tolerated and could see disciplinary action taken which could lead to suspension or expulsion from the club.
We should respect and value the contribution volunteers make – especially umpires - to enable us to play and enjoy the game of hockey.
